The Virtual Health Center project interactive is an initiative promoted by the consortium formed by Everis Aragón, FORTEC, Hospital de Barbastro, the University of Zaragoza, Ibernex, Informática el Corte Inglés and the Technological Institute of Aragon (ITA). This initiative is part of the Innpacto Program of the Ministry of Science and Innovation. The objective of the project is to provide a home health by means of a TV set-top box and a set of vital signs meters and a variety of other sensors, connected to each other and to the actual health center. The The purpose of the system is for all devices to support the telecare and monitoring of patients and individuals, as if they were at the health center. Technologically, the project combines interactive television with home automation, vital signs measurement systems, body sensors, intelligent systems and the provision of t-learning services, to disseminate information on the operation of the system as a whole, as well as to health professionals and patients, making it possible to generate a system to provide best practices in diagnostics through the use of virtual of the constant taking and the capacity to respond to them. The project is a commitment to experimenting with technologies that enable the patient of the future, interconnected through a variety of different technologies that converge in interactive television, offering a new way to fluid patient-physician communication, outreach and education of essential aspects for the patient’s health and an updated transparent, pathology-dependent control of measurement parameters of the patient.
