The international projects unit is currently composed of 6 people whose main mission is to design, promote and develop promotional activities.
ITA’s participation in international public funding projects, which allow the continuous development and improvement of ITA’s technological capacity, with the ultimate goal of its application to the technological support of industrial companies through private R&D projects, defined by the companies themselves according to their objectives and interests.
Integrated in the corporate area of the organization, its main functions are: lead the elaboration and implementation of ITA’s international FPC activity plan annually; define and coordinate the search and involvement strategies in international R&D&I public funding projects; search and select prestigious partners with whom to collaborate in the different technological areas and submit transnational proposals; to participate in international events presenting the technological capabilities of ITA, as well as disseminating results of R&D&I projects that help to better know the activity and improve the international positioning of ITA; to coordinate the writing and preparation of proposals for public funding, in collaboration with the technological groups; to participate in the coordination, execution and technical-economic justification of international public funding projects; and to plan, manage and coordinate relations with international strategic partners.
The general objective of the action is to improve the Institute’s magnificent start in the Horizon Europe Program, increasing participation in proposals aligned with the Institute’s technological lines, increasing participation in projects, the number of projects coordinated and the number of companies involved in these projects. All of this with the ultimate aim of improving the Institute’s technical capacity to transfer knowledge, technologies and concrete results to the companies with which the Institute works, applying these results and technologies in direct contracts with industry, since the Institute, since its foundation, has obtained more than 40% of the total cost of its activities.

As a technology center, the Institute will focus on Pillar II of Horizon Europe, whose TRLs are those that correspond to the type of projects that ITAINNOVA develops for its companies.
