This project, the result of cooperation between the AEI Spanish Association of Exporting Manufacturers of Machinery for Construction, Public Works and Mining (hereinafter ANMOPYC) and two of its members, the Technological Institute of Aragon (hereinafter ITAINNOVA) and the SME ENARCO SA (hereinafter ENARCO), aims to identify, analyze and test different machine learning techniques to support decision-making in the selection of suppliers in the purchasing process of an industrial SME.
This action corresponds to the implementation of an innovative experimental development activity.
This project responds to the need to characterize the different suppliers in order to make better purchasing decisions. The classification of suppliers according to these characteristics depending on the order to be placed will allow ENARCO to decide the best option in each circumstance. With this objective in mind, a system based on artificial intelligence technologies is proposed that allows segmentation and recommendation of suppliers based on the aforementioned factors. In addition, this segmentation will allow ENARCO to know the impact (economic, time, etc.) that the selection of a certain supplier will have.
The expected outcome of the project will be the development of a supplier recommendation system based on artificial intelligence and machine learning integrated and validated in ENARCO’s purchasing process.
This project is related to Industry 4.0 and falls under the thematic priority: “1. Intra-company/inter-company management applications in the manufacturing industry” within the heading, “a) Business and intelligence solutions”, included in Annex VI of the call for proposals.
