PRESENTATION AND OBJECTIVES:

PRESENTATION:

Blockchain technology is applicable to issues of digital information, digital innovation, connectivity in the value chain and digital access for customers; and although blockchain has traditionally been linked to cryptocurrencies, its application has been directed to the financial sector and its use in the industrial sector is still incipient.
This project is aimed at the development and applicability of blockchain technologies in Industry 4.0 in companies, especially in the following areas: logistics management, traceability of manufacturing and assembly processes, obtaining user/customer data for product improvement, and marketing and e-commerce.
The project proposes awareness-raising, dissemination, knowledge and intermediation actions for the implementation of collaborative projects, advice and individualized support to companies to facilitate both the implementation of these projects and their own blockchain application initiatives in a context of collaboration between the agents of the quadruple helix in each of the regions and at the transregional level.

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:

Contribute to the digital transformation of companies in the participating regions and their competitive improvement through the use of blockchain technology in industry 4.0 developments of organizations, by providing information services, advice and interaction between developers and users.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

1. To know the state of development and level of application of blockchain technology in the regions participating in the project.
2. Raise awareness and advise SMEs from the 3 participating regions as well as other entities in the SUDOE area on the advantages and possibilities of blockchain technology in the development of Industry 4.0.
3. Facilitate the incorporation of advanced technologies (blockchain, IoT, Big Data) in industrial sectors in the regions participating in the project.
4. Support the development of new companies/entrepreneurial initiatives (Start ups 1-3 years old) linked to blockchain technology and Industry 4.0.
5. Encourage and support collaborative innovation projects between SMEs and knowledge agents from the 3 regions participating in the project (and, as far as possible, from other regions of the SUDOE area).
6. Create a stable network of collaboration between public entities, companies (especially SMEs), start-ups, business representatives and technological and knowledge agents among the 3 SUDOE regions.
