Presentation and objectives

The The main objective of the project is to maximize the service life and availability of rail vehicles for service by research and development of new high reliability and safety axles for railway and railroad equipment. new methodologies, techniques and strategies for non-destructive inspection that to monitor and diagnose in real time all the agents that may be involved in the involved on the railway system (vehicle, track, workshop and operator) and thus to be able to monitor the life of the of the asset based on its condition.

This will improve the efficiency, safety and sustainability of both the vehicle and the maintenance shop, as well as reduce the associated economic costs and total life cycle costs.
