TITLE OF THE PROJECT:

AI MATTERS: AI in Manufacturing, Testing and Experimentation Facilities Network for European industries

GENERAL DATA:

Program: DIGITAL EUROPE
Reference: 101100707
RESOLUTION Date: 30/11/2022
Execution date: 01/01/2023-31/12/2027

PRESENTATION AND OBJECTIVES:

Presentation:
AI-Matters is a network of 25 partners spread over 8 countries whose objective is to increase the resilience and flexibility of the European manufacturing sector by deploying the latest advances in AI and robotics, and intelligent and autonomous systems for flexible production.

AI-Matters offers its customers a wide range of technological services for testing and experimentation of these technologies, classified by their ability to contribute to different challenges of the manufacturing industry (Factory Level Optimization, Human-Robot Interaction, Circular Economy and “other emerging technologies”). This catalog evolves through continuous updates as the needs and expectations of the European manufacturing industry evolve.

As part of the DIGITAL Europe Program, AI-Matters actively contributes to enhancing the leadership of the European manufacturing industry.

Objectives

– Support TEFs as a world-class reference technology infrastructure at EU level to bridge the gaps in the value chain of applying the above technologies, from the laboratory to the market.
– Contribute to the deployment and upgrade of reliable AI and robotics solutions and the implementation of AI-ACT.
– Support European technology providers of AI solutions to increase the EU’s AI assets.
– Develop robust testing/validation and reference protocols.
– To be a network open to all innovators.
– Link with other initiatives (Other sectoral TEFs/Data spaces /EDIHs/AIonDemand Plantform, etc. )
– Maximize visibility to users and policy makers.
