El ITA reunirá en Zaragoza a los principales proyectos europeos sobre aeroestructuras sostenibles

El próximo 17 de septiembre, el Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón (ITA) será el escenario del evento internacional «Wings of Change: Navigating the Future of Sustainable Aerostructures», un encuentro que reunirá a investigadores, empresas y expertos europeos para abordar los avances que marcarán el futuro de la aviación sostenible.

Organizado en el marco del ATLAS Cluster, el evento supone la primera iniciativa conjunta de cinco proyectos financiados por Horizon Europe dedicados al desarrollo de una nueva generación de aeroestructuras más ligeras, inteligentes y sostenibles. El objetivo es compartir resultados, impulsar la colaboración entre los distintos actores del ecosistema aeronáutico y acelerar la transferencia de la investigación hacia aplicaciones industriales.

La jornada ofrecerá una visión integral de toda la cadena de valor de las aeroestructuras sostenibles, desde el desarrollo de materiales compuestos reciclables y procesos avanzados de fabricación automatizada hasta la aplicación de gemelos digitales, inteligencia artificial, certificación virtual y nuevos conceptos de aeronaves.

Durante el encuentro participarán más de quince especialistas procedentes de centros de investigación, universidades y empresas europeas de referencia, que compartirán los últimos avances tecnológicos y debatirán sobre los retos que afronta el sector para avanzar hacia una aviación más eficiente y respetuosa con el medio ambiente.

El programa se estructura en cuatro sesiones temáticas que recorrerán las diferentes etapas del desarrollo de las aeroestructuras del futuro y contará con la participación de los proyectos europeos CompSTLar, PLEIADES, TOSCA, pAIramid y HyperMorpH, todos ellos integrados en el ATLAS Cluster.

Un foro para impulsar la innovación aeronáutica europea

El taller está dirigido a profesionales e investigadores vinculados a los materiales avanzados, la ingeniería digital, la fabricación, el diseño aeronáutico y las políticas de innovación, ofreciendo un espacio para el intercambio de conocimiento y la creación de nuevas oportunidades de colaboración entre el ámbito científico e industrial.

La celebración de este encuentro en las instalaciones del ITA refuerza el papel del Instituto como socio de referencia en proyectos europeos de I+D y como impulsor de tecnologías que contribuyen a mejorar la competitividad de la industria aeronáutica y avanzar hacia una movilidad aérea más sostenible.

El evento se celebrará en formato presencial en la sede del ITA, en Zaragoza, y también podrá seguirse de forma online. La participación es gratuita, previa inscripción.

ITA to Host Europe’s Leading Horizon Europe Projects on Sustainable Aerostructures in Zaragoza

On 17 September, the Aragon Institute of Technology (ITA) will host the international workshop «Wings of Change: Navigating the Future of Sustainable Aerostructures», bringing together researchers, companies and European experts to discuss the latest innovations shaping the future of sustainable aviation.

Organised within the framework of the ATLAS Cluster, the event marks the first joint initiative of five Horizon Europe projects dedicated to developing a new generation of lighter, smarter and more sustainable aerostructures. The workshop aims to showcase project results, foster collaboration across the European aeronautics ecosystem and accelerate the transfer of research into industrial applications.

The event will provide a comprehensive overview of the entire sustainable aerostructures value chain, covering topics ranging from recyclable composite materials and advanced automated manufacturing processes to digital twins, artificial intelligence, virtual certification and next-generation aircraft concepts.

More than fifteen experts from leading European research organisations, universities and industry will share the latest technological developments and discuss the challenges facing the sector as it moves towards cleaner, more efficient aviation.

The programme is organised into four thematic sessions covering the different stages of the sustainable aerostructures value chain and will feature the Horizon Europe projects CompSTLar, PLEIADES, TOSCA, pAIramid and HyperMorpH, all members of the ATLAS Cluster.

A Forum to Drive Innovation in European Aviation

The workshop is aimed at professionals and researchers working in advanced materials, digital engineering, manufacturing, aircraft design and aviation policy. It will provide an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration and explore future opportunities across Europe’s aviation innovation ecosystem.

The workshop will take place both on-site at ITA’s headquarters in Zaragoza, Spain, and online. Participation is free of charge, although prior registration is required.
