This shift involves challenges such as fluctuating and distributed generation and new infrastructure for electric vehicle charging, among others. <strong>Grid flexibility<\/strong>, which has historically relied on fossil fuels and hydropower, <strong>will increasingly depend on battery storage systems, energy carriers like hydrogen and ammonia, demand response, and bioenergy<\/strong>. Additionally, grid power will evolve from a single-direction flow to a bidirectional one.<\/p>\n\n\r\n    <\/section>\r\n    <!-- end block: seccion-destacada -->\r\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-advantages-and-benefits\">Advantages and benefits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At ITA, we address the challenges of hybrid electric distribution grids through our expertise in <strong>sustainable electrical systems<\/strong>, energy storage, and power electronics. This foundation enables us to develop intelligent, high-efficiency, low-noise systems, supporting companies from the initial design stages with model development and <strong>digital twins <\/strong>to prototyping and <strong>experimental testing in relevant environments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our <strong>Zero Emissions Laboratory<\/strong> can operate both connected to the grid and off-grid, allowing us to assess transitions between modes, conduct black-start tests, and analyze harmonic effects in off-grid mode. It features renewable sources (photovoltaic and wind), storage systems (batteries and hydrogen), and load emulators to define and evaluate <strong>energy management strategies (EMS)<\/strong>. Our experience in power inverter modeling, both at dynamic-scale and transients, underpins the analysis and definition of <strong>control strategies for grid stability<\/strong>, which can be validated experimentally, even for combined control of DC and AC grids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\r\n
