The project will utilize an enhanced electrolysis technology with a capacity of 30 MW, integrated into the Motor Oil Hellas (MOH) refinery located in Agioi Theodoroi, Corinth, Greece. This large-scale electrolysis facility will be coupled with renewable energy production and integrated into a circular economy framework to ensure sustainability and efficiency.<br\/>EPHYRA&#8217;s main objective is to produce green hydrogen at the lowest possible cost, ensuring reliability and scalability throughout the southeastern Mediterranean region. The project will serve as a model for the industrial integration of renewable hydrogen production and will support the adoption of the green hydrogen market in the EU.<br\/>EPHYRA&#8217;s innovation lies in its integration of various sustainable technologies and concepts. The electrolyzer will be coupled with renewable electricity production, an innovative waste heat recovery system, environmental optimization of water use, valorization of oxygen produced in refinery operations, a digital twin for process optimization and a dedicated energy management system.<br\/>By aligning with the Clean Hydrogen Partnership&#8217;s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda, EPHYRA aims to advance electrolysis technologies and contribute to industrial decarbonization. The project will play a key role in promoting zero-emission fuels and fostering the EU&#8217;s renewable hydrogen economy.     <\/p>\n\n<p>Through its comprehensive approach, EPHYRA aims to:<br\/>&#8211; Demonstrate the feasibility of renewable hydrogen production on an industrial scale.<br\/>&#8211; Ensure economic and environmental sustainability through circular economy principles.<br\/>&#8211; Improve the reliability and cost-effectiveness of green hydrogen production.<br\/>&#8211; Provide a replicable model for similar initiatives across Europe.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-entidades-participantes\">PARTICIPATING ENTITIES:<\/h2>\n\n<p>The project is backed by a strong consortium of partners with extensive experience in research, innovation and industry. Led by Motor Oil Hellas (MOH), the consortium includes the Center for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH-EKETA), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), ENERTIME (France), the Aragon Institute of Technology (ITA), the STICHTING New Energy Coalition (NEC), Soluforce (The Netherlands), RINA Consulting (Italy), Envirometrics (Greece) and Siemens Process Systems Engineering (UK) as an associate partner. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-presupuesto\">BUDGET:<\/h2>\n\n<p>TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET: 24.631.840,00 \u20ac<br\/>TOTAL ITAINNOVA BUDGET: 350.000,00 \u20ac.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-financiacion\">FINANCING:<\/h2>\n\n<p>TOTAL PROJECT FINANCING: 17,757,002.50 \u20ac<br\/>TOTAL ITA FINANCING: 350,000.00 \u20ac.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;Project No 101112220 is funded by the European Union.
