PRESENTATION AND OBJECTIVES:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

COGNIMAN will provide the means to facilitate flexible, resilient, reconfigurable, safe, sustainable, and efficient smart manufacturing by integrating simulation, models, digital twins, sensors, Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning), data processing and analytics, robotics, and autonomous systems in a human-centric modular toolbox that can be easily adapted to new manufacturing processes and environments with the ultimate objective of boosting the European technology and manufacturing sector’s competitiveness towards industrial leadership in global markets, as well as reducing the environmental footprint of manufacturing activities.Demonstrators are focused on difficult-to-automate manufacturing processes like glass fibre production, large parts precision machining, medical additive manufacturing, and high-temperature metal production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The COGNIMAN project will develop the means to achieve intelligent manufacturing that is flexible, resilient, reconfigurable, safe, efficient and sustainable. It will be realized through the integration of simulation tools, models, digital twins, sensors, artificial intelligence (machine learning), data processing and analytics, robotics and autonomous systems in a virtual toolbox with the human being at the center of the development strategy. It will be easily adaptable to new manufacturing processes, with the ultimate goal of boosting the competitiveness of the European manufacturing and technology sectors, and leading them towards leadership in global markets, while reducing the environmental footprint of manufacturing activities.The project’s demonstrators focus on sectors that are difficult to automate with current standard solutions, developing applications in the sectors of fiberglass manufacturing, machining manufacturing of large precision parts, medical metal additive manufacturing and high temperature metal manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
