PRESENTATION AND OBJECTIVES:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The scientific and technological objective of the project is the development of technologies oriented to the detection of improprieties in paper bales. We will work on the development of a methodology for the detection of improper waste, based on the combined use of sensing technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI), seeking to reduce the amount of improper waste in the paper bales arriving at SAICA’s plant, and allowing the optimization of the recycled paper manufacturing system.The specific objectives are:– Determination of the most reliable base technologies for the detection of improprieties, according to their nature, analyzing their feasibility of implementation.– Determination of intelligent data processing algorithms for the extraction of the information necessary to determine the amount and type of improprieties that a recovered paper bale may contain, so that it is possible to detect them and subsequently eliminate them from the process.– Development of a sensory fusion system that combines sensing and Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning) technologies to increase detection reliability.– Analysis of the impact of the proposed solutions on production processes.– Design, development and implementation of a pilot system for the detection of improprieties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
