\n The project<\/strong>\n <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The present project will advance in\n the answers to these needs by adding value to one of the assets\n in which companies have invested the greatest amount of effort in the last\n years, the introduction of CAD\/CAM tools: the \n3D models of assemblies, assemblies and parts they design on a daily basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project objectives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\n Technical information on the project and its objectives:<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n The general objective of the project is to reduce the barriers to the creation and \naccess to industrial digital content through the \nuse of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual \n(VR) technologies, allowing the engineering, pre-sales, \nmaintenance or security departments to generate such content (3D models and\n other resources), add value (for their internal customers and external \n), reduce costs (improving efficiency and productivity) and\n increase competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To this end, we propose the development of the necessary tools to support three identified use cases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) Augmented reality in pre-sales and marketing environments<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) Augmented reality oriented to Tele-assistance in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3) Virtual Reality through simulator for security protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More specifically, the tools to be developed will focus on the following objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • \nDesign\n of a common architecture that quickly and easily revalues the \n3D models and other know-how available to the engineering and design departments of the companies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Development of the tandem \neditor-viewer for Augmented Reality that allows to abstract from the \ncomplexity of ad-hoc programming, from the different platforms of \ndeployment (desktop or mobility) and display devices \n(AR glasses, VR glasses, 2D, 3D…);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Development of a system of \ntele-assistance in the field that uses general purpose devices \n(tablets or mobiles) or specific purpose devices (AR glasses) to \nprovide remote support to operators in the field, allowing them \nto access the knowledge base of procedures, as well as remote experts\n in the different locations that the \ncompany may have;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Development of a simulation system using \nstate-of-the-art VR devices to train the \nsecurity procedures by integrating different physics engines and \ndynamics to allow high degrees of realism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    This\n project is divided into 5 work packages and has a duration of\n 9 months. The tasks linked to the Project Management are executed \nthroughout the life of the project, from July 2017 to March \n2018. The work packages<\/strong> are listed below and the leaders of each are indicated:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    WP1: Definition of processes and their digital transformation (ANMOPYC)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PT2:\n Requirements gathering and architecture of the solution adapted to \nmanufacturers of public works machinery (ITAINNOVA)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    WP3: Augmented Reality solution development (ITAINNOVA) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    WP4: Detailed development of solutions and validation with pilots in each case (ITAINNOVA)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    WP5: Development and adaptation of use cases for construction and public works machinery manufacturers (ANMOPYC)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Innovative Business Clusters<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

      This\n project has received a grant under the \nprogram to support Innovative Business Groups (AEIs). This \nprogram to support the strengthening of innovation clusters is \ninserted in the European strategy to improve competitiveness for the \ninnovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \nThe clusters that can benefit from the program’s\n grants are those entities whose innovative potential and critical mass \nhave been recognized by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness (MINECO) through their registration\n in the Register of Innovative Business Clusters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
