The\n The REESTE project arises from the constant commitment of CIKAUTXO, a company of \nelastomer-based vehicle component manufacturing, by the\n research, development and innovation in its products, as well as of the \ngrowing interest from society in general and from the food industry in particular. \nautomotive industry, in particular, by developing new materials that are more \nmore energy-efficient and at the same time, more efficient. \nenvironmentally sustainable<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specifically, CIKAUTXO has \nThe company has detected a great interest from its customers (companies of \nautomotive) in the development and implementation of new polymeric foams of \nthermal insulation for certain applications within the \nelectric vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n Technical information on the project and its objectives:<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\n REESTE’s objective is to develop new refrigeration ducts \nfor electric vehicles based on multi-layer materials, whose layer is \nThe external surface shall be a particle-reinforced polymeric foam \nmultifunctional and will have a greater thermal insulation capacity than\n the current solid ducts, but without adding additional weight, and that, \nFurthermore, they will be produced in-situ, i.e., in the process itself. \nthermoforming of the duct, which will save cycle times and\n costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to overcome the technological challenges involved in the \nIn order to achieve this objective, CIKAUTXO requires the collaboration of two \nresearch centers with recognized expertise in the area of biotechnology. \npolymers: CELLMAT (University of Valladolid) and ITAINNOVA (Instituto \nTecnol\u00f3gico de Arag\u00f3n). CELLMAT, in particular, has a renowned \nexperience in the study and development of new polymeric foams \nwhile ITAINNOVA, has it in the development of \nsimulation of properties in multiphase materials. The know-how of \nboth research centers is essential in order to be able to address the \nobjectives of the REESTE project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
